Kamo Marsh worked closely with the clients to design a series of outdoor living spaces that cater to the needs and lifestyles of every family member. Central to the design is a generous open lawn framed by low-level native planting, preserving uninterrupted panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and Cecil Peak.

On the sheltered eastern side of the property, we created a warm and inviting area featuring an outdoor fireplace, BBQ space, a golf putting green, raised vegetable planters, and fruit trees—bringing fresh, homegrown produce into everyday living. A charming playhouse was also included to delight visiting grandchildren and add a playful touch to the landscape.

Nestled at the base of the Remarkables mountain range, the site called for robust, climate-appropriate planting. We selected hardy native species well-suited to the alpine environment and also developed a detailed revegetation plan for the gully along the property’s northern boundary, enhancing ecological value and stability.

Completed in early 2022, this project exemplifies the balance of beauty, function, and environmental responsiveness. We’re now excited to be in the final stages of designing the landscape for the neighbouring property—stay tuned for updates.
