Award winning School Playground Design Project
Kamo Marsh worked alongside the students, staff and school board to help develop the new and improved post earthquake primary school. Our aim was to create functional outdoor spaces that meet the requirements of staff and students and celebrate the local character of the wider area. Spaces include a junior play area doubling as an outdoor learning space and gathering space for parents, an amphitheatre space for performances and assemblies and are vamped playground and sand pit area with water play elements. Each space provides areas of shelter, elements of fun and create a sense of pride in the school and wider local environment. This very successful Kamo Marsh landscape design went on to win the Learning Environment Award for Australasian in 2021.
