In conjunction with the school board, students and community, Kamo Marsh have designed a school enviroment which celebrates the strong bi-cultural emphasis of Te Waka Unua's learning programme. Colourful and sturdy outdoor play areas encourage student participation and a sense of pride in the school grounds. The learning spaces link both the adjacent Opawaho/Heathcote River as well as the trails used by Maori through this area.
Kamo Marsh provided detailed design drawings, cultural advice and contract observation services for various areas and stages of work.
